Basically, it's the remake of the NES version of the original. Yay?

are you guys really just finding out about this? i think they announced it at E3.

anyway, i never played the original, so i have no sentimental value attached to this. hopefully, they do a good job.

no they didn't, the "next gen" game looks kinda sad to me, like Dawn of Mana meets Spider man,

what these guys talking about has just been announced, and is an Xbox Live Arcade game that is a remake of the NES game, which I think is actually going to be a better game than the next gen one.

how ironic.

then again this is a trend for me, I spend more time playing Xbox live arcade than proper 360

again, this remake looks pretty sweet :D

Definetely looks good, too bad I don't have a 360 lol.

I played the original when I was like 8, decent game if memory serves, but at any rate the face lift they did for the 360 live arcade definetely looks good.

I liked the GB version a lot more than the NES version.

.. No, not that horrible GBC game, the original GB.

I haven't really played a bionic commando game that I haven't enjoyed to some extent yet, so I'm still hoping the next gen one will be as awesome as I want it to be (kinda reminds me of the prince of persia games, which I love). This remake is definitely looking quite spiffy as well... so let's hope they don't screw it up.

okay....

the link was from the PC section of IGN, so i just assumed it was the next-gen one.

still, i probably won't be playing this as i never really played the original. it seems the only reason to get this is to hopefully relive those moments, but with fancy graphics.

i don't doubt it could be a very good game, i'll just have other things i'd rather do

I'd at least recommend giving it a shot, especially if for some reason they decide to release it for free on xbox live (which is incredibly unlikely, but they could do it as a promotion for the bigger game, I suppose). The nice thing about most graphic-based remakes is that you'll know if you're playing a complete piece of shit within the first five minutes.

it will cost money, but there are two guarantees

it is an XBLA title, so it will be cheap,

and you can ALWAYS play the trial version, and that'll always be free.

Heh, leave it to me to remember something obscure like that. I just barely remember you saying something about Blue Dragon, that's it. Yay for me.

The stages are the same but the game play is different. It reminds me on Metroid: Zero Mission kind of remake.

I don't get why he know has this Duke-ish feel (the hero), but red haired. What happened to crazy haired guy? Believe it or not, I always thought he was Super Joe, until like 2 or 3 years ago.

Yeah, but when I played that game I was 12, and really didnt focus on that at all. Once again, who's that guy, the red haired duke?

I think what SNK is trying to say is they are one in the same.

They are. It specifically says this somehow unlocks "classic costume" or something. So that's the same guy.
