itunes question

I hate itunes. However, I need to install it to downlaod some garbage song for my girlfriend which I can't pirate anywhere. The apple website is no help, so I was wondering if anyone knows wheather or not I'll be able to use the song on my girlfriends non-ipod(not an ipod)?

MOST of the iTunes library is available in a higher-bitrate non-DRM form now.
If your girlfriend's song is one of the DRM'ed ones, you're probably out of luck.


Just tell her to get some taste in music. And to get in the kitchen and make you a sandwich.

try buying digitally at amazon. 256 bitrate mp3 files that are also a dime cheaper.

itunes songs will only be drm free if the price has a "+" next to it. IF it's drm free, the non-ipod should play it (i would hope, as it's just an *.m4a).

The best I could do was a 192kbit/s MP3 version of this song is available on eMule, but each source only has 1 dude with the file. It probably take hours for the download to even start. You need to search for Marie-Elaine Thibert, otherwise you don't get anything.
