Weird sound problem in certain Snes games...

Post by Snark »

(Happens on real Snes connected to TV playing via copier or cart with no cpier pass-through)

In Link to the Past and SMWorld I cannot hear certain effects or music parts...My guess is that those games are inherently stereo but of course, have no monaural options... How nice...

My TV is mono by design and doesn't have any stereo options afaik...I'm connected via the white/red/yellow connection thing, plugged directly in the tv...

Any possible solution?

I've had this problem while trying to play music CDs on my PS2 via a TV whi9ch only had one audio RCA input.

Switch to using RF. That will solve the problem. I've played quite a bit of LTTP on an RF TV, and i've watched my sister play it on an s-video TV. You will get all the sound effects.

Will try! I think if it works I'll only use it for problematic games (ones with no audio options iow) because of the poorer signal I get...

Edit: works. Thank for the tip.

you could hook up your snes to a cheap ghettoblaster/speakers with RCA in.
Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

- Yes, but don’t change the subject.

Could also get a y-adapter, and tie both the channels together with that.
Was how I played for years.
