Saturn console models...
I bought a Saturn modchip and it says it must (or preferably) be installed on a "model 2" saturn...
So, is there a way to know which model you buy? I'll likely buy an import (JP) console.

Here's a model 1.
Here's a model 2.
The buttons are the biggest external giveaway.
Here's a recap of the versions.
There's no real need for a mod chip however. Though inconvenient, you can play all Saturn games using the swap trick, and to play Japanese games on a US console all you need to do is set your language to Japanese (seriously). Example.

Well, I already got the modchip so... And the swap method is reputed to be damaging in the middle/long-term for the motor or drive. And a chip is much faster too.
casualsax3, your second image is redirected.

you don't have to worry, finding a model 1 these days is pretty rare, you'll most likely get a model 2 by default, saturns aren't easy to come by already but model 1s are practically unobtainable (and model 2s are just better IMO)
Seriously, what kind of asshole makes an old-school 2D emulator that requires a Core 2 to get full speed? >:(
It means exactly what it says.Snark wrote:Yeah, but what does it really mean?blackmyst wrote:And this was someone with good feedback?

My question was rhetorical. I meant a high positive feedback is not necessarily indicative of a good or even honest seller.Deathlike2 wrote:It means exactly what it says.Snark wrote:Yeah, but what does it really mean?blackmyst wrote:And this was someone with good feedback?

Next time, use italics or emoticons for emphasis.Snark wrote:My question was rhetorical. Well yeah, there's more to feedback than just the number (though if you're looking at something like 100000 transactions, that seems hard to fake...). If I buy anything substantial I usually take a quick look at a few random auctions the seller has completed and received good feedback on, just to be sure.
