you have to modify an original PSP battery in order to send it into service mode
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

I don't know the risks either but you will need 2 batteries to do this because once one battery is turned to Pandora it is forever (I think).megamanzer0 wrote:risky? please elaborate. I would say not having one is the more risky than not.King Of Chaos wrote:Pandora's Battery is very risky, not to mention you usually need a modified psp in the first place to create the service mode battery... unless, of course, you purchase one of the psp MAX Power TOOLs from Datel's CodeJunkies webpage.
Yes I know that my grammar sucks!

Yep, and I heard there are rare instances where the battery can explode if not correctly done.
You can buy a service mode battery off Datel's website, so you don't have to ruin a perfectly good battery.

not really.Neo Kaiser wrote:because once one battery is turned to Pandora it is forever (I think).
from the building guides for the Pandora's battery (all I've seen) it looks like you COULD insert a switch somewhere in the circuit.
not to mention that another guide I saw involved using a hobby knife to cut off the gold part of the PCB and then using a pencil to redraw the line back in place (see http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=95001, and even then it looks like you can install a switch here too.)

Oh and no, there are no good emulators for PSP yet. Glad we could help before this whole thing blew out of proportion.

Not true, silent hill origins was ported to the ps2. I was pretty surprised when I saw it was available for the system. In fact someone I knew was going to pick up a psp for the game, but I pointed it out and they never brought one.I.S.T. wrote:I don't think that will happen... Aside from the two GTA games, all the big name psp games that have been ported back were published by Sony. I don't imagine Square is going to put up the cash to bring it to the PS2.

So, that makes about three Sony games, and three third party games with two being in the same series.
