Tips for saving/loading please.

Post by paragon »

In the faq/readme files, I've found it possible to save/load with F2/F4. However, I have yet to find how to save/load multiple files.

Snes9x allows for saving among the complete bank of 1-9 with a shift, and a load with a simple 1-9. All seperate files.

Thanks in advance for any help. And sorry for the noobiest question of the day.

BTW, the button mapping for zsnes is just awesome. Great success.

I can't check which one it is ATM, but there's a button (and a menu option) for switching save slot, F2 or F3, I think. I'm sure it's explained in the readme files.

F2 saves, F3 selects, F4 loads.

There's also an incremental save option where F2 saves AND selects the next slot. But I've never used it.

If you look in Config->Saves, you'll see there's dozens of options you can use for saving. You can also see the Pick State option in the GUI.

And you have 100 states to choose from, not a pitiful 10.

Funeral:

These brave nibbles didn't die in vain, as they will bring us a bright future. They where happy and content, but weren't paying attention, and so had their life STRUCK DOWN by a wall, on their last life. And Now, GORILLAS has something to say...

I've had my head up my ass for a while so I require an explanation.

A hundred is usually more than ten. What sort of explanation do you need for that.

And explanation of how you can use 100 states without having to rename stuff?

I never noticed there were slot levels, how long has that been a feature? I always just used F3 to go through states 0-9 of the same slot level. And I often just used 1.36 due to its ability to play over the interbutt, as far as I can see 1.36 doesn't have that feature.
