Hey there,
Long time ZSNES user (10 years now), first time poster here. I'll try to keep simple:
-I have 2 computers: My desk computer (2.8 P4 Dual Core with 1GB or RAM) and my living room PC (Atlhon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ with 2 GB of RAM).
-If I run ZSNES 1.51 on my desk computer, no problems.
-If I run ZSNES 1.51 with the same configuration as before on my living room PC, the sound seems to slow down once in a while, a good example is in Chrono Trigger.
Why is a more powerful PC having trouble doing something a less powerful can do perfectly?
Thanks
Music in ZSNES slowing down on a more powerfull computer..

Well that was my first thought since ePSXe had issues with Dual Core CPUs (games were too fast) but why only AMD, why not the Intel Dual Core on my desk PC?Deathlike2 wrote:I'd say it's a dual core issue at work.
1) Get the required AMD dual-core patches+drivers.
2) Set ZSNES's affinity to 1 CPU.
That should help your issue out.
Anyway, I'll try your suggestions and let you know.
Thank you

Ah, that would explain. Thanksfranpa wrote:If you use Windows Update then you would already have the patches for Intel Dual Core CPU's
EDIT:
The Driver for the AMD CPU did the trick. Man, what a strange world we live in now. I recall the days where CPUs didn't need drivers

One more question. Should I install the AMD Dual Core Optimizer as well?
