Hello zsnes forum. sorry to just register and ask a question but here it goes. I encounter the problem in the screenshot below. In some Mode 7 sequences where text boxes appear, the text box itself is affected making it unreadable. I don't want to switch in the middle of the game to snes9x either. So is there some sort of fix for this?
In case this is needed:
-Running ZSNES version 1.51
-Japanese version of rom wit good checksum and ips auto patch (still good checksum)
-Hi-res Mode 7 option is off
-640x480 DR F
-Windows XP Professional x86 SP2
-Please post if any other info is needed
Thanks in advance.

Try to see if the unpatched ROM has the same issue. (Maybe the SRMs are compatible.)

Does this bug happen in older ZSNES version? If your answer is "No, it doesn't happen in vx.xx" then use that for the time being.
NSRT output would be nice, for proper bu g reporting and archival purposes, if nothing else.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Can you please upload the SRM file to a free hosting site and link to it here? I want to view this scene in another emulator. We don't really get to test atypical happenings deep into games.

I've played this patch months ago and can confirm it. But IIRC it's a bug in the patch itself.

There seems to be a couple issues with this post.
1) Did you try toggling new graphics engine on and off?
2) No NSRT/ROM info. Provide it so we know you are using a good dump of the game. Bad dumps tend to cause problems.

Smells like failure. Better luck next time.
In case that's not clear: Kajuru fails at reading. I'd post a franpa yellow but where the hell are them

should just add them to the board's emoticon set.
Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

Pretty good idea. That requires server access. Maybe if we get ahold of _Demo_ in a shady street at night...

nah, would be better to just add these franpa alerts to the board's emoticons.
IIRC, doesn't Pagefault have access to the server as well? could've swore he got access recently. (no I'm not trying to play or be dumb either.)

Haha, i should have given u directions =)
This is off the top of my head so bear with me. After opening the save youll be in front of a gold sphere. Go south and turn right at the cornor of the wall. Keep going right until your able to go up where there are two doors (they look like arches actually) and go in the one on the left to avoid a battle. Continue to go north and go left once u reach the wall. Continue going left until you cant anymore and go up. This avoids another surprise battle. Now go right and keep going until you see a cat and a horse in front of a door. Go in that building. Don't talk to anyone here cuz theres a possiblity of getting into a battle for no reason really
. My memory of the building is vague but I know you need to go up and the staircase is next to a horse looking character. Once your on the second floor you go right, then down all the way. Then you go right and im pretty sure you go up after the end of the corridor. Next to an opening is a cat. Then go up into the opening and continue going up. The place should look familiar.
One more thing, if you look at the golden glow behind the angel sprite, it moves whenever a text box appears.
Good luck with my crappy directions =)

Yeah, the "glowing" layer behind the angel lady is supposed to undulate and outline her body. The top part breaks and shifts down and the text box actually starts undulating instead. bsnes has no issues. Didn't test anything else.

This text issue happens all over the game, not just that one scene. Just in case it's not clear already.
