Post by LoveShock »

Hi,

I am running a Dell Latitude D520 laptop with Fedora 8 installed. I just recently installed it on my laptop and tried to play a game and noticed there was no sound. Does anyone have any idea's? :?:

You need to configure SDL to use a different sound output.

Try using OSS (the sound system, and you may need to reconfigure SDL for that as well) and see if that helps

Ok got my sound working again. I had to go throught the perfect pulse audio setup to get it to work again. Kind of going to suck if I have to keep going through that everytime i want to play my roms. Could there be a work around in the code of zsnes to activate pulseaudio or something.

To be blunt, pulseaudio is not the audio solution for ZSNES. Too much additional latency will always hurt your audio experience.
