Noticed a weird bug in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (U)[!] while running Regen 0.93. and this happens when I do the Super Sonic cheat (19, 65, 9, 17 and then on the start menu - 4, 1, 2, 6...and then you hear a chime indicating you did it right). Well, on Kega Fusion 3.51, you hear a chime after pressing "6"; but in Regen 0.93, when you press "6" there's no chime but just the original music. If I can, I'll upload a youtube video or something, but this is weird!

Edit: Hmm...I stand corrected; you can still transform to super sonic, but a bug prevents one from knowing until you get 50 rings.

Edit 2: And loading save states still cause garbage on the screen as seen here:

Not a bug, you have to always get 50 rings to turn into Super Sonic. If you hear the chime, it's a good indication that the cheat is enabled.

Oh, don't worry; it works fine. I just needed a chime, but not necessary. Still, the issue with savestates...

Oh and it's not 2048x1200; my monitor's set at the highest resolution, which is WUXGA (1440x900) and that jpeg is 951x581. But, anyways, does Regen's author know of the save/load state issues?

To better explain what the bug looks without actually explaining. I don't know if this happens to every user or not. I'm really sorry for not choosing a thumbnail or comparable, though. It's just somewhat frustrating not being able to save/load state properly.

Yeah, there's savestate issues with Regen (with its own savestates, and savestates from Gens and Kega). There's also SRAM issues with Regen too, especially when loading Gens or Kega SRAM.

Well, the .sram files I do make (like Sonic 3 for example) don't show up when I come back to use it again.

About the savestates...I figured out a way that somewhat prevents corruption. Unfortunately, it doesn't work all the time, but it usually works. What you do is you have to make a manual save (naming it in the menu). The trick is to pause the game before you do it so you still have sound. Again, certain games it works okay in others the graphics totally screw up and the sound is gone. I certainly hope AamirM has this to his "to do" list for a future release. This is what I meant to say in my earlier posts.

Hi,

Sorry for a bit late reply. I was away due to some unexpected project/internship work getting in the way.

You can place it in a past copy of Regen. You can also install it in another place but you will just need to copy the "Fonts" (available in a previous releases) to the same location.

Well, I can load an SRAM file from Kega that's working in Kega (and Gens), but it isn't working in Regen.

You can try it here for the game Sonic 3 & Knuckles (just make sure you rename the game/SRAM file to match each other).

Well, is there any way to prevent the crash from happening? Couldn't it just create a default font file, so this crash doesn't occur?
