Help me fail at programming

Post by gllt »

Okay I'm using Visual Studio 08 and using a template for a windows GUI application.

It just makes a window with File > Exit, Help > About. Min, Max, Exit.
The window is filled with white.

I know nothing about C++.

Yeah so I know someone is gonna go "stop, turn around, go make hello world."

Either way I just want to load an image, any format is fine although bitmap, targa, and png would be best. Display it in the whitespace.

Figured http://www.xdp.it/cximage.htm might help with that.

Basically implement Scale2x,3x,4x(2x*2) and HQ2x,3x,4x etc sourcecode or just have it route said image into the external binary with proper commandline.

Make a few menu options or boxes and whatnots to send wether scale or hq, 2,3,4.

And save.

Yeah that's pretty much it I could probably do this in AutoItv3 with external binaries or learn python or some crap.

But I'd rather fail at this so HELP ME.

edit; I forgot this jargon crap

Hi,

Feeling too lazy to write some code write now but you are better off creating a console application and use SDL.

stay safe,

Or if you want to experience pain, use GDI. :P
Honestly, SDL for graphics is quite......

I have a better plan:

* Load image
* Implement HQXX and whatever INTO executable
* Use something for image saving
* Process loaded image
* Output loaded image to OpenGL texture
* Save texture to file.

Sounds like something fun for me to do, but if you want to do it...so....
