Okay, not sure if this would be in the Tech Talk section or in the Emulators section; this issue covers both topics in a way. Okay, so, I have the legal version of PJ64 1.7.0.56 (which is the most recent on AFAIK) and it runs great. Total RAM being used: 237464K (roughly 232MB RAM). This is ridiculous, if you look at the task manager. It's not making too much impact on speed, but I do find it a bit worrisome. Here the picture of the processes: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh13 ... yPJ64s.jpg
Is there a virus or what? I know the file to be legit saying as I've never seen this until today. No matter what I do, the processes cannot be terminated; regardless of how many times I click "end process" or "end process tree". Any suggestions?
How can there be five instances?!

First reboot. Then load up the app. If that happens again when it is reloaded, then it's probably intentional (probably because of multithreading or it's attempting to run a side process for whatever the case may be).
The worst case is that something's preventing it from closing all its child processes properly (usually due to crashing).

i should have followed up with "you're a moron"
while odd, your problem was two minutes from being solved the whole time.
less odd actually, since firefox will do it to me. except it won't actually open. but i rebooted, and it worked after that, and i didn't have to waste anyone's time here.

232 MB for a n64 emulator sounds about right honestly if it caches everything.
Next you'll find weird that DS emus take that amount of space too...
