Oh, so this thread isn't new, but has been bumped? My bad. I thought that was a recent post, but I guess it's not (it didn't show a date, if I'm not wrong).odditude wrote:something tells me if he hasn't picked it up in the 27 months since he made that post, he's not going to now.Franky wrote:stuff

Half-Life: Source? The one with no changes except for new water look? I'd probably wait for Black Mesa to come out.joe_devore wrote:I finished Half-Life 2 +Ep1&Ep2, less then a month ago and I'm playing Half-Life: Source right now..

I loved "Super Mario RPG."
I heard about "Mother3," I even got the patch for it a while back when I first noticed it. I was sooo close to getting a copy of you know what, but some how futzed it up... ;_;
Half-Life: Source is supposed to be the Digitally Remastered version of something available on STEAM.snkcube wrote:Half-Life: Source? The one with no changes except for new water look? Mother 3 was a big disappointment for me. The translation is excellent, but the actual game felt like Earthbound Lite to me in every way. I still spent about 20 hours playing through it (with a lot of level grinding) but I found a host of negatives.
The only improvements over Mother 2 I can see are in the timing of the battle system and slightly more fluid animation (though the battle background don't look nearly as good nor does the music sound as nice - this is likely a limitation of the GBA). You could argue that the story of the game is more "emotional" but I don't necessarily find it to be better (the ending was utter shite).
Anybody else feel the same as I do?

Somewhat.
I actually liked the game, but the ending just.. sucked. And yes, the level grinding bullshit is stupid.

I can see what you mean by the character character models.sweener2001 wrote:hl:source is the first hl running on the hl2 engine.
but the only noticeable changes are water, a few effects, and physics. character models and all that were left untouched.
black mesa is amazing. go learn about it
What is black Mesa, is it a Half-Life Mod?
I really don't have alot of time to go searching around, I'm working on a C&C-TFD Batch File fix.
Great so they futzed the Game (Not the Translation)darkbenny wrote:Mother 3 was a big disappointment for me. And I Loved Earthbound, but then that was a console game not a stupid hand held... ;_;
Source engine also fixes getting stuck in elevators. You know, where you get jammed into an elevator going down, and then it somehow crushes you when it gets to the bottom? That was always fun.sweener2001 wrote:hl:source is the first hl running on the hl2 engine.

Too bad about the models, though. They could have at least used the enhanced model set, which already works with the original games.
Black Mesa looks awesome, though.

They are far from the length of a full game, but long enough to be interesting. Anyway, they show some effects not seen in HL2 (the dev's commentary has more about this) and advance the story.Johan_H wrote:Are they as obscenely short as people say?joe_devore wrote:Ep1&Ep2
