Turns out that I may not go in with my brother for a laptop... you guys are probably right; I probably won't get to use it. Besides, I don't go any places besides school very often... I may just get a monitor with the money I got.
A Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP... I'll wait until it goes on ~25% sale.
Oh, and I asked for/got Super Mario Sunshine... I don't like it very much, so I'm going to take it back and get... I don't know, something.
[edit] Oh yeah, my tutor got me art supplies for our last tutoring session.
Kind of sad, too, since it means our parting... I wonder if we'll see each other often.

I mentioned elsewhere on thsi board that for christmas i was getting a 19" hdtv. Well, I found a 26" model (made by Samsung) on the market for half price, and instead got that one. Via HDMI, PS3 games look and sound absolutely brilliant on it.
It also serves as a lovely PC monitor (via VGA), and it handles standard definition content very well (I mainly connect my PS2 via RGB SCART, and my PS1 via composite, though this will change once I get hold of a component cable, for I'll then connect my PS2 via component, and my PS1 via the RGB SCART cable that I already have (and throw away my shitty composite cable)).
I'll show you guys a picture of it in a few days (I can't show you atm because I'm a few hundred miles away from home to stay at my grandmother's house during christmas, and i left the tv at home for obvious reasons).
EDIT:
Also, I'm thinking of installing Linux on my PS3. Does anyone have any experience with this? I can easily find guides on the web, but does anyone know what's the best distro to use on the PS3? I'm currently leaning towards Yellow Dog Linux, but I'm just wondering if anyone can actually give me a recommendation as to what distro I might like?

If you would use Cell SDK, I think RHEL 5.2 or Fedora 9 is the way to go.Franky wrote:EDIT:

SUPER ROBOT WARS ALPHA GAIDEN
Also, I got my revenge, I got 400 US dollars and right now I'm getting new clothes, including a couple of blazers I sooo needed.
Right now I have like 300 US dollars of my own, which will be spent buying rando stuff, I got a small LEGO creator kit, whatever is left, I might use it to buy revoltech figures, my Mazinkaiser is starting to feel lonely.
And man, IRON MAN was sold out at the Walmarts I tried to buy it from, I hope I find it tomorrow.

No problem.
BTW, if you wanna go back to 1.1.4 or 1.1.5 you uninstall iTunes 8, name your iTunes library.itl file to iTunes library old.itl
install iTunes 7.5
put the iPod into DFU mode and install 1.1.4 or 1.1.5, then use iLiberty to jailbreak it from there.
Then uninstall iTunes 7.5, delete the iTunes library.itl file it created and rename your iTunes library old.itl to iTunes library.itl and reinstall iTunes 8

With the money I got for Christmas, I bought a used copy of Resident Evil 4 Wii and a used copy of Pikmin 2, and a new copy of Guitar Hero World Tour (single guitar pack). Even though Pikmin 2 cost $55, I did save money on Guitar Hero World Tour; the single guitar pack only cost $60, and they gave me a $10 gift card (Wal-Mart).
