Why does it matter? You can get a PS2 for peanuts.

Hell, you can go buy a PS2 AND a PS3 for less than a launch PS3 cost.

If I get a PS3, I want it to play PS2 games so that I can toss the PS2 in my closet. I don't need a PS2 and a PS3 hooked up to my TV, I have enough fucking consoles as it is.

I'd suggest getting a 60GB PSA3 off of ebay like I'm going to. They aren' t going to add back

Flash card readers support
SACD support
or Playstation 2 hardware

anytime soon. This is what I'm gonna do when I have the cash and replace the harddrive.

1 PS1
1 PS2 (not modded, hence the previous one)
1 Wii (the GC is in the closet since I got it)

I lubz me 5->1 switchable scart merger !

I also don't want to pay more for something that's used/old.

that is the delema. I know that they are going to make the systems more effecient, smaller, less moving parts and components, cheaper etc. So I'm kind of torn.

You call that a setup?

I've got
Genesis+SegaCD+Power Base Converter
NES
SNES
Dreamcast
PS2
Wii
ready to go right now.

My XBox 1 is sadly out of the loop because the DVD drive doesn't open and close anymore, and I draw the line at disassembling the system and drive to change games.

I've also got my 360 hooked up, but to my PC monitor. And my Vectrex, but it's a standalone.

Sadly, my current gaming setup lacks a TV tuner, so my 2600, 5200, and INTV collect dust.

2 5200s,
I think 4 2600s,
An Intellivision,
a Studio II,
and a Virtual Boy.
Also 99/4a, if we want to count PCs*backspace*home computers.

Dead consists of a second INTV, a PS1, and an XBox 1.

man this lack of edit sucks hard.

ok, BACK on topic though I have an interesting revelation for casualsax3

Sony is just now selling Playstation 1 games on the PSN, but don't you find it odd that they even removed software backwards compatibility from the PS3 for PS2 games? I think that it wont be too long before they start trying to resell us PS2 games over the PSN just like nintendo is doing with the virtual console so I am thinking we are all shit out of luck.

The Genny, NES, SNES, DC, PS2, and Wii go through my stereo.

360 goes through my PC into a set of headphones. PC also works as a wireless bridge, since I'm not paying a hundred bucks for the damned 360 wireless adapter.

I also have a busted VB. Forgot about that earlier.
And yes. VB IS awesome.
