2 Internet connections, can I use both?
I have currently 2 internet connecion, aDSL and cable (cable was intended to be suspended, but the ISP fuckers refuse to do so until we get to pay for a stupid service that malfunctioned for quite a long time). I would be interested to see the chance of using both services in the mean time, ideally my aDSL connection for torrenting and my cable modem for browsing.
I have heard stuff about load balance and such, but it seems they all involve more money that I'd be interested to invest (read, free) for something I'd just use until the cable providers get their modem back. Could it be possible to bridge the somehow in a simplistic manner? I only have a single network card (onboard).

my gigabyte motherboard supports teaming with the dual gigabit ports (as stated in the manual). I was wondering when you'd ever need that, but now I see. I love my motherboard... it's so bad.

I'd like to know if you can do this with wifi connections and if I can prioritise them.
I have the wifi here that I can use and is stable and whatnot, but then there's another unsecured one that I can connect to but isn't too stable that I could maybe make some use of when torrenting or something. :p I tried bridging in windows but it didn't seem to be what I wanted and it seemed to use the shakier connection for all the internet access.

teaming
The teaming on your mobo wouldn't be used in this scenario. Teaming is often referred to as port trunking or link aggregation. (see this link) It's most often used locally on a LAN when the system is used as a server (file or app) for bandwidth intensive applications. It would basically double the throughput to that particular system.PHoNyMiKe wrote:my gigabyte motherboard supports teaming with the dual gigabit ports (as stated in the manual). Two separate internet connections would be most useful for redundancy.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

they said I get 20mbit, and then if there's less traffic, they can route it to me and I get faster internets. I'm happy.
