Install the Latest Logitech Gaming Software and disable the Logitech Profiler. After that, make sure that Windows (or whatever OS you use) detects it properly.

That's weird, I have 3 logitech dual actions. In both windows and linux, it's simply plug and play using the standard USB HID driver, no need for the install disc. Did you make sure to plug in the USB controller, THEN start ZSNES, then configure it?
I've had similar problems with the logitech dual action controller. only in my case zsnes will let me configure the buttons of the controller into the input device number 2 but then when i go to try and play the game the controller still doesnt work?
