yeah, it's so easy to spam spells in that game, after I levelled up my spells I went through that game at a really low level, the bosses could kill me in one hit, unfortunately for them they couldn't hit me.

Trying to wrap my head around Starcraft, and with that, the RTS genre in general.
I can't understand why it hates me so, I have never been anything but nice to it : (

I've never been particularly rapid about the RTS genre either. I mean sure, I know there are some real gems in there, but I've never played a single RTS seriously, if you know what I mean (sole exception being Warhammer 40K - I should dust that one off again.

Def Jam: Fight for NY. It's much better than I expected. Really fun.

You are not the problem, Starcraft isn't a game for everyone, it awards fast moves, technology planning and rushing.

It's not a game you can't play to have fun on and off, you need to LEARN to play it.

Or maybe I really really suck.

I think I actually am the problem since I've always been too lazy to spend time learning, and thus missed out on things.Or maybe I really really suck.
But I'm making progress now at least, I hope.

Voice dub choice?

I'm one of those annoying people who just can't stomach English dubs. Unlike Blue Dragon for example, the choice wasn't present in Vesperia unfortunately (probably because of disc space restriction) And yeah, I know I could google it.

edit: nope. Sigh, cheap bastards. How hard could it be to offer it as DLC?
That's one point where the PS3 is better. You can simply import if push comes to shove.

Shut up. The game is awesome.
I can certainly see where the complaints come from. It's very much NOT the sort of game you're probably looking for on the SNES.
But with the computer versions not available in english...

besides, I'd have to delve (again) into the dark arts of japanese PC emulators to play the PC98 games.
Why can't they have X68000 ports? I've already got that set up.

I beat Lost Planet yesterday. It's a fun game with a terrible plot. Not to mention terrible cutscenes that make no sense.

Now onward to Madworld.

I was in a 6-month long gaming slump till I acquired this for the cheap sum of $24.95. And I can't explain why it's good, other than the punk style, the farcical nature of the levels, Jeanne, and Bizarre Jelly. Maybe Schpeltiger.

I've messed around a bit with MadWorld.
It is awesome.
I laughed when the announcer started screaming "GOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" after I threw 4 guys into a running jet engine.

Actually, I laughed at the announcers on several occasions.

Then I went back to Brandish. I'm still in a quirky RPG mood.
