ZSNES ROCKS!

Post by isamu »

I just wanted to log in here and say thanks to all the devs that are behind ZSNES.

You guys don't get enough credit. ZSNES is, in my opinion, the best emulator ever made. And I mean that with all sincerity. Thank you again Nach, Deathlike, Grinvader, and the rest of the devs.

Keep up the good work! :notworthy:   :slave: :valet:

You don't have to come here and thank those people. They're just happy that you are using their software.

(PS: Bsnes rocks harder).

bsnes may be the best, but zsnes is still an excellent emulator . I use zsnes quite a lot, actually. I also use SNESGT alot, too.

I also use my snes a lot, too :P

You're welcome, although 'the rest of the devs' are pretty noteworthy. pagefault and jonas made the bulk of the core and graphic engine changes in any recent version, really.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

I knew I was forgetting a couple names that were on the tip of my tongue! Yes indeed, pagefault and jonas, you guys have our gratitude for helping make this an unbelievably awesome emu! :)

Well, there's no such thing as a "perfect“ snes emulator, IMHO. Even I know that (and yes, I do admit I have referrenced SnesGT as being the "best" far too much, and that I apologize for). It's all a matter of personal preference; all emulators have their pluses and minuses. When Zsnes 2.0 comes out, it will undoubted be one of the best out there overall. Mostly due to completely rewritten core (and the new SPC700/DSP Core).

Just wanna give a bump so new people can see this and give their appreciation as well :)

Had an absolute FANTASTIC session of Donkey Kong Country online with my bro yesterday and if it weren't for the ZSNES devs, we would have never been able to relive those good ole days. Thanks again guys :)

SnesGT is the best. All it needs is D3D or OGL.

So a friend of mine were playing Super Mario World yesterday in ZSNES online. Started from scratch and in about 6 hours we're nearly done with the game.

What a trip down memory lane! seeing some of the later stages in that game for the first time in like 15 years was a joy to behold. We were playing online for about 6 hours and barring a few instances of skippyness here and there, the game ran very smooth and we didn't desync not even once!

I even recorded the last couple hours of us playing and am watching the replay now. This is something I would have never imagined possible back in the day.

ZSNES is really one of the best emulators I have ever seen. Other emus out there have many features as well, but zsnes is the best among them imo.

Going back and playing this classic game online with no lag was simply amazing beyond words. Thanks again guys for this awesome program :)
