Okay, since we're out of April.
Part of the post was a joke, part of it wasn't.

Do you even have a mere idea how much suffering you'll cause for people who'll try to guess which was true and which wasn't ?
Wait, of course you have. You sick, sick little crazy fish.

That part was the joke!Nach wrote:We just finished up adding NES and DMG emulation (including Super Gameboy!) to our core set (I'll post some screenshots shortly).

So, if the re-naming part is not part of the joke, would suggestions still be taken?
Like
ZCES - Zuper Console Emulation System. Yes, very unspecific. Enough not to have the Nintendo name in it, despite the fact that it is the console it emulates. It still has the Z, which would implicitly tell about its origins.
SPES - Super Pretendo Emulation System. Doesn't mention Nintendo, and people can get the idea about what it does. It could also be called Super Pretty Emulation System. However, I don't think most of us are going to like it.
ZedSNES. I remember an old thread in which someone asked how users pronounced the name of the emulator. This could be a definitive answer, if desired.
SENSZ - Serious Emulating New System Zod. This way, the name changes, but it doesn't really change. Besides, everyone must kneel before Zod. Yes, the name might not be grammatically precise.
And yes, I took my time to think about the names. A little too much perhaps. Meh.

IT WILL SUPPORT ZIP AND FUTURE NETPLAY VIA MODEM IP.Gil_Hamilton wrote:Yes. It's going to be renamed REAS, and will feature a command-line parser so you can use ZSNES as a frontend for other emulators.

OK, you don't need 64 bit software for a 64 bit OS, dude. 32 bit can run just fine provided the OS is programmed to allow it(To oversimplify it. A lot.). Some linux versions don't come with the proper libraries to allow 32 bit software to work by default.
MS isn't nearly that aimed at one audience or stupid to do that.

i mean, i thought everyone knew that...
i just though that adding x64 at the end would sound cool!
and to be honest i hate having stuff installed on Program Files (x86), it just feels weird.(like if it is going to work 10 times slower than it should)
i know it's basically the same, but i like to talk stupid stuff AND i like my software to be OS-specific =P
j/k
