That was the Gamecube port of Evolution 2, with a stripped-down minimal version of Evolution 1 thrown in so you knew what was going on, right?

Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

I'm not him, but i;'ve played and own the latter two games.
DQ8 will appeal to DQ fans. Also those with OCD, just like every other Level-5 game.
RE5 is basically RE4 with grinding. If this bugs you, stay away unless you go for the co-op mode.

Right - I own that as well, not a big fan of it myself which is why I picked up the original Dreamcast version of Evolution 2 for $10

RE5 is enjoyable with co-op. That's how I completed the game. Other than that, it's not that great of a game if you played RE4 to death.

I got that when I was a little boy and my mom basically played all my zeldas for me (I learned to play zelda on the gameboy by myself cause she hates tiny screens)
I was so scared cause I didn't make it to the clocktower on the first night the moon just BURNT EVERYONE ALIIIIIIIIVE
also my mom liked OOT better, she said too much running around for errands in MM
she likes wind waker also, hasnt played tp but has watched me play
overall she will always love lttp (and watches me play the gbc ones on the wii sometimes, since its tv then)

Im trying to figure out how I managed to finish any 3d zelda. I think Nintendo has a rule against sane cameras.

hmm I never seemed to have camera problems with all the games people talk about, you mention zelda games, and I remember back in the day everyone bitched about the sonic adventure games but I never had any issues with them.
It's really not that bad if you take manual control of the camera.

TP camera was fine for me. it's the only 3d zelda i've played as of yet, and only the second one i've ever beat.

well, to be fair TP has a fairly automated camera system due to the control layout. It'd be the most refined one so far, I think he was referring to the N64 ones primarily.

Going 'back' when you missed a bumper/item box/gold enemy/whatever was mostly done blindly, since the camera took ages to re-line itself behind you.
At least that's how I interpret those complaints.

The cameras in SA1 and SA2 were just horrid. I somehow managed to beat SA2 though.

I agree that the camer control in the Wii Twilight Princess was pretty awesome and you rarely needed to take manual control! (unless you count centering the camera behind you ...)

far cry 2. odd that there are no civilians in the african countryside. if i see a person outside a town or safe house, i kill them. no questions.
random jeep? shoot them. guys by a campfire? grenade. small warehouse? rockets. because they all have guns, and the sight of me apparently repulses them to the point that they need to see me dead. EVERYONE.
still fun, though.
