<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

After being basically evicted from Nintendo for the Virtual Boy.snkcube wrote:That poor guy. He died quite tragically.Johan_H wrote:Well, congrats to Gunpei's bones I guess.
And his ghost is probably still haunting Bandai for fucking up the Wonderswan.

I've loved the Game Boy for pretty much as long as I can remember (the only gaming device I owned before the PS), and Wario Land is one of my favourite games for it, or any other machine. He's probably one of the people who's had the most indirect positive influence on my life.
So yeah, RIP and better luck in another timeline :'(

Game&Watch(and by extension every NES-knockoff gamepad), Metroid, Shigeru Miyamoto...
Donkey Kong was Miyamoto's first game, and created under Yokoi's oversight... Wonder hwat arcade games Yokoi actually worked on. Pity they weren't credited properly.

Ironically, the first one he wasn't in direct control of.grinvader wrote:Super Metroid

He was busy with something else(Probably Wario Land 3. That or Virtual Boy stuff.), so he passed the producer hat on to Makoto Kanoh, a veteran of the first two games(one of five "designers" on Metroid 2, and assistant director+scenario designer on the original).
I think we can all agree SM was in good hands either way.
