I'm having a problem with zsnes. Whenever I start zsnes, my computer freeze for about 40+ seconds. Sometimes more than a minute. When zsnes finally does start, It freezes when I try to move my cursor into its window. Another 40+ second wait. The same occurs when I more the cursor out of zsnes window. I finally see the red cursor inside the window, so I try to load a rom and earn a mind numbing 2+ minute wait.
This problem has been consistent for few months ever since I've tried playing with zsnes after using snes9x for the longest time. Snes9x plays perfectly, but zsnes almost does not want to play at all.
Could someone please offer help to that I can get zsnes running like it should?

I will try that later. Wish me luck!paulguy wrote:Laptops tend to have problems like that in zsnes. Usually related to frequency scaling and power whatevers. Try disabling all that stuff in windows and your bios and see what happens.
I'm using a custom power plan to increase performance (ie. not saving any power at all). I can't see that as being an issue.franpa wrote:Power Saving technology is usually what is to blame when it comes to laptops.
The problem happens regardless of whether my laptop is plugged in or not.odditude wrote:does it happen only on battery, or on AC power as well?
