Already patched.

Re: PS3 hscked (you know its old news if im posting it)
Speaking of which, I have to set up a new goddamn account for that shit. I forgot the password AND the answer to the security question since I set the account up 3 years ago. You'd think I would have had the sense to write the password down and/or put it in my KeePass database.lordmister wrote:I don't use the PSN store, either.
Reason for setting up a new account would be that the credit card entered to purchase with that account recently expired and was renewed, but the system wants the account password to enter new payment information. Lucky I only bought one game with that old account, and I don't have to delete the account from the system, or otherwise repurchase the game. Even if it is only $9.99.

I guess this kinda now makes CFWs redundant huh (unless you wanna run LEGAL backups of your PSP and PSone games)?
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

I'm much more excited about homebrew on the PS3, rather than the rampant piracy that will soon happen. Maybe I can finally play my MKV files soon enough.

Makes anything redundant. Especially when you have the private AND public keys.adventure_of_link wrote:I guess this kinda now makes CFWs redundant huh (unless you wanna run LEGAL backups of your PSP and PSone games)?
Having those for ECDSA/ECC, well.....makes the entire thing open.
hah.

They can't. They're lying to the press. Almost every level of security is compromised. The only way to fix this is to issue new hardware and introduce a fucking random number generator that works.

Oh yes, props to Themaister and other BSNES droogs for porting it.
It would be nice to know what parts of the API they consider to be redundant so that it can be fixed upstream....

Re: PS3 hacked (you know its old news if im posting it)
Just wanna say that the PSP software signers were made, and the PSP scene is buzzing again.
That being said, someone released a downgrader for 6.31/6.35 firmware to go down to 6.20. Not much, but given that PSP 3000 series boards and IIRC PSP Go can only go so far (IIRC down to 6.00, if that) and the best homebrew availability signed or not for these boards is on 6.20, can't beat it right now.
Search Google for the tools. Don't know bout you all but I'm having fun playing SNES on PSP again..
