Start and Select buttons
My start button doesn't seem to work. I'm using a keyboard and i went to config: input and then set the different keys. (Start as the return key) But when i try using it in the game, it doesn't work. Can anyone help? I'm trying to play Final Fantasy 3 and i can't seem to open the start menu.

Now let's be fair, sweener. IT's a post about FF3 that ISN'T complaining that the game resets when you press start. He's ahead of the curve already.

Press A, not Y. At least, as much as I remember.

Re: Start and Select buttons
as long as we're agreed that it's certainly not start or select.
and x makes sense. i still forget that nintendo does that with their buttons. in my head, Y was still the top button in the diamond.

Yeah same here. I think it's because of x, y coordinates that I keep thinking that x and y buttons should be the other way around on the snes controller.sweener2001 wrote: i still forget that nintendo does that with their buttons. in my head, Y was still the top button in the diamond.

Re: Start and Select buttons
Why are US playstation games made where X is accept and triangle is cancel?
Maybe these people were born without that part of their brain that lets you try different things to see if they work better. --Retsupurae
