Kirby Superstar lagging during certain scenarios, any fixes?
For example, let's say I have a Waddle Dee as a partner, and he uses the spinny beam move that generates that funnel of blue beads. Whenever this happens, and I do pretty much anything (even sometimes when I do absolutely nothing) the FPS drops like CRAZY. The lag is starting to get unbearable, so I was wondering if this was a common error, if this happened even on the original console, and or any other situation, and if there was a fix. I had it for the SNES, but it's been so long I can't remember how anything works, so I came here. Sorry if this is in the wrong area, I saw "troubleshooting" and that's usually where I go in circumstances like this.

Can't say if the lag is different in ZSNES but Kirby Superstar definitely slows down a lot sometimes on actual hardware.

Kirby Super Star is an SA-1 game, so there is no point in complaining about possible bugs in it, as outlined in the topic AoL linked to.

You could try out SNES9x in the mean time for this game.

I agree, it's an excellent alternative until Zsnes gets updated.snkcube wrote:You could try out SNES9x in the mean time for this game.

Who, me? Oh, no, I creep about the depths of the forums while you're all in a deep sleep. I also prowl outside your houses at night....no one told you I did that? I have pictures too, you know.Gil_Hamilton wrote:I thought you left.nintendo_nerd wrote:I agree, it's an excellent alternative until Zsnes gets updated.snkcube wrote:You could try out SNES9x in the mean time for this game.

How many months did you spend bugging them to make sure it was safe to switch emulators?nintendo_nerd wrote:....*plays Snes9x*.

Approximately eleven months, seventeen days, two hours and five minutes, if I recall correctly. That would be well over 30,000,000 seconds.Gil_Hamilton wrote:How many months did you spend bugging them to make sure it was safe to switch emulators?nintendo_nerd wrote:....*plays Snes9x*.

So it would seem. I'm surprised, tooGil_Hamilton wrote:Less than a year, huh?nintendo_nerd wrote:Approximately eleven months, seventeen days, two hours and five minutes, if I recall correctly. Nope, sorry to disappoint. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go and play Assassin's Creed 3 while praising My Little Pony saying it's the best show in existence.adventure_of_link wrote:I thought you got B&.nintendo_nerd wrote:Forcibly left, huh? Say, do you remember a time when I wasn't treated like crap? That's okay, I don't remember either.
