comments on state saving and wav
Some games like Top Gear 2 and Blackthorne .spc files doesnt work. So zsnes could have a .wav logging for such cases. And while you save through all 10 state slots, its impossible to recognize it after a long time not played. So it could be possible to add a few lines comments on each slot.. Would be nice and would not erase "sacred" states by accident anynmore.
How about we devise an insane new format that requires enough system emulation to run a cartridge ROM image which does nothing but play music? And is only necessary for a handful of games. And requires real hacking skillz to rip for, like good ol' SID. Only this sytem is more complicated.
Sounds like a good idea to me.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

But you might want to consider this first:
- one could add SPC logging to ZSNES (or another emulator)
- SNESAmp (or another APU emulator) could be modified to use these logs
