Just wondering.

I've got both ZSENES 1.36 and the latest WIP running on my computer as a comparison. I've noticed that all the patched games I have show up as chksum fails on the WIP but as chksum normal on 1.36. Is this a problem?

I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and say that you're comparing two entirely separate features: 1.36's check (which operates on, I believe, two 16-bit integers in the internal ROM information) with the CRC32s given by the WIPs. The former will not change in any patched ROM unless the creator of said patch choose to modify the internal ROM information (they usually don't). The latter will change drastically with even the slightest change of the ROM data; that is the nature of cyclic redundancy checks and part of why they are so valuable.

I was unaware the WIP used a different method. But then, I'm more of a hardware person than a software one. I mean, I'm pretty sure it'll work, it just seemed odd to me that one version would say it's okay and another would say something's wrong.
