Hey there, I am a new user of zsnes. And a new user to snes emulation infact. I was wondering what would be the best way to configure zsnes, and whats up with all the different display modes? And the rendering engines or filters, or what ever they are called. Which one is the best to use for a PC monitor. What would also be the best screen resolution to use? Now as for sound, whats the best way to configure it, to get the CLOSEST to the original snes sound?
Thanks in advance.
New user questions. (How to configure zsnes?)

Start ZSNES with the -6 switch (make a shortcut for it) and enable VSync, Automatic Frameskip and the manual frameskip set to 9.
640x480 DR/DS or above, depending on your preferences. I use the Super 2XSaI filter myself, but if your computer can handle it, go for HQ2/3/4xx.
The most true to the original sound you'd get by using 32kHz Stereo + Gaussian Interpolation. Nothing more.

A note about the filters: which filter to choose depends a lot on your personal tastes, so try them out and see which one you like best.
As for resolutions, there isn't much of a difference above 640x480 (in my personal experience, at least). About the different letters next to the resolutions: The "D" means that filters are available in that mode. "R" means that the image (approximately) maintains the SNES aspect ratio, though I've heard (and would agree) that it's actually a tad too narrow. "S" means that the image will be stretched to fill the screen.
The sound settings Agozer mentioned are enabled by default in 1.40, so you can just leave the sound settings alone if you want accurate sound.
