Zsnes freezes when i hit esc or use the F1 menu

Hello, I noticed after my last install of Gentoo that my zsnes is a bit wierd, im using the latest WIP (zsnes v.36 cvs dec 29 2004 i guess).
The problem is that it completely freezes (window goes black and sound chops forever) when I:
1. Hit esc 4-5 times.
2. Use the F1 menu for screenshots 2-3 times.
3. Closing zsnes when xmms is using the soundcard (alsa with dmix (software mixing))
In every case i got to kill zsnes with kill -9.

When i do #3 I get the following message:
Fatal signal: Segmentation Fault (SDL Parachute Deployed)
(loks like sdl screwed up :s)

Im using libsdl-1.2.8 and glibc-2.3.4.

After som debugging i found the error. It was the 8-point interpolation, it does'nt seem to work well with my version of alsa (and dmix), I changed the interpolation to Cubic Spline and then everything worked (and still works) fine
