FF6 PROBLEM

there is a glitch of some sorts where, while i'm playing, ZSNES crashes...how can i fix this?

As for your problem, more information is required, such as:

Computer specs?
The version of ZSNES you are using?
Does the crash occur all the time or just sometimes out of the blue?
Does the crash occur in a specific game or does it happen in every game?

Also, make sure you're using the latest version of ZSNES.
Load your game, and before doing anything else, exit ZSNES and get into your ROMs folder an seek for a file named "rominfo.txt", open it and should read something like:

Code: Select all

File: Final Fantasy III (U)(v1.1).ZIP Header: Yes
FINAL FANTASY 3         TYPE:NORMAL     
INTERLEAVED:No    BANK:Hi    CHKSUM:OK
VIDEO:NTSC                CRC32:C0FA0464

If you read CHKSUM:FAIL, it's most likely that you have a bad game dump, you'll have to get a good dump and try again. (It should read CHKSUM:OK, like above.)

i tried getting the lastest version, but its to slow and its really glitchy

also, for some reason, 1.40 has these problems on my computer:

1. games are cut into two seprate screens

2. all games are played with pink and green multicolor

3. the noise is horrible

4. very very slow, must keep on pressing buttons for it to continue

i downloaded a more recent version, and the ROM is working smooth like butter (god, that was horrible)
