It's a Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) emulator.

Ok, first, unzip the zsnes file in a new folder, call it "zsnes" or whatever you want it to be, then, unzip or place the rom file (the game) inside the folder that you made, that should make it appear, in an easy way (May be messy, but once you get the hang of it, you will be able to customize the places where saves and roms are)

To "Run it" just double click in the Zsnes icon.

Hope it helps.

- Roms are the games, you must get the roms from somewhere else, Don't ask for them here it is against the rules. Search the net for them.

if you are using win Xp, it already has a unziping tool, if you have another OS, you'll need an utility like Winzip or winace.

Do one of the following: 1. place that *.zip in your ROMs folder, or two. use a unzipper utility, unzip said ROM, then place it in your roms folder.
PS: Unless you're using Window's XP's unzipper, then the zip utility you get will most likely be shareware. Finally, M$ did something useful.

I'm pretty sure you have, as the game you're trying to run is not a SNES game (Metal Slug is an arcade / neo-geo game, certainly not Super Nintendo)... Get some SNES games, then try everything and see if you get them to run, if you do try everything, odds are you will get them to work at some point.

If you don't know how to decompress a zipped file, I suggest that you learn how to do it before you attempt to run an emulator...

Tip: Get WinZip, install it, read the help files, learn to use it, then come back for ZSNES.

If you don't understand some of what I've said, use www.google.com to find out.

If ya want a zipper which DOES NOT EXPIRE, then go buy window's XP. it's got a built-in unzipper.

I wish computers were more user unfreindly, so that people would actually have to learn how to work everything.

Please tell me the internet doesn't have someone this dense on it.

Please.

'How do I turn my computer on?' will probably be the next question. Won't that throw us for a loop.

You would be surprised at the amount of dumb people on the internet. I blame instant messaging and the like.

People just seem to be lazy..
When I first had a computer, I had to teach myself everything about it.
These days, people just stare blankly at a screen and wait for someone to guide them.

Congradulations everybody for haveing the patience to try and help this guy, you all did alot better than i would of been able to...
I blame instant messaging and the like.
I absolutely agree, a fine example is my brother. He always uses the internet to chat on MSN, i try to teach him HTML and stuff so he can get a job as a computer guy because he was thinking of what he wanted to be but he says its too much work and he just likes to use MSN
So i think i am going to make a counter...

MSN has ruined 1 peoples life

Im sure there will be more to come
