1.29 VERSION PROBLEM
i recently had a problem with my zsnes. occasionally, the game will slow down greatly, and it will take a while for it to get back to normal. i have verison 1.29. i tried getting the latest version, but there are a bunch of glitches and bugs such as:
the entire game is multicolored
the screen is cut up into 2
WAY to slow
can anyone help me?

The documentation is included with each release of Zsnes. Of course, running an ancient version means you have ancient docs. I recommended getting the documentation by downloading the latest release of Zsnes and unzipping it. You can also get it via CVS, but that isn't exactly easy.

Switch on the grayscale option. For some reason, Zsnes plays snes games in colour.NalmpChupone wrote:

NalmpChupone, they are messing with you because you did the following:
1) Post a message regarding the usage of an OLD version of the emulator.
2) Not read the documentation that comes with ZSNES (when you look in the zip file that comes with the recent version of ZSNES, there is a folder called docs... in this folder is the documentation - which needs to be read by a web browser)
3) Not following suggestions, one of the suggestions to your problem was updating your video drivers... you totally ignored this suggestion (which is a bigger problem because it is something stated in the documentation anyways)...
Once you figure out what you are SUPPOSED to do.. then noone here will ridicule you.

Yeah, everything Deathlike2 and Evan said. And to more specifically address certain issues, I'll point out that the problems you have with the latest version of ZSNES are probably all caused by the same thing: the messed-up display. All you need to do is follow snkcube's advice with the CURRENT version of ZSNES, and it should be fine.
snkcube wrote:And to fix the 2 screen problem, change the resolution of ZSNES. And make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card.
