DOS port and sound

Post by thomasheiser »

when i play a game the sound is good, but when i left the game with Esc there is a terrible sound, all the time. it is the last soundframe of the game. this sound is a loop. it plays as long as i return to game.
when i exit the zsnes the sound don't stop. only at restart zsnes the sound ends.

is this a bug? or can i configure a solution?

sorry for my poor english!

What sound card do you have? Are the soundcards drivers up to date and configured properly?
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

Do you have the DOS environment string "BLASTER" set correctly? I don't know if ZSNES requires it, but it should look like this:

Code: Select all

set BLASTER=A240 I9 D3
Maybe you can configure the card to these defaults: (SBPro2)

Code: Select all

set BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 T4
