Rerecording support would be kind of nice, but I vote #1.

I am pro-accuracy. I definitely support more game fixes.

For the most part, IMO, a new "feature" wouldn't be useful if I can't use it on a "broken" game I want to play.

I would like to see more of the kinks ironed out of ZSNES sound. We all know there are a number of games with an inaccurate sound effect here and there. A few examples:
Super Mario World - fireballs, spin jump
Final Fantasy IV - sound of a dark sword, whip, or katana attack
Super Castlevania - bats in introduction
Chrono Trigger - the scream of enemies before battle begins

I post my opinion even though I am aware that there are plenty of other things that most people consider more important. Also, I think some people have said in the past that it would be very hard to fix every sound because of the way ZSNES handles timing.

It's just my personal ideal to be able to play all my games with ZSNES and have no obvious sound flaws.

Thanks for asking, by the way.

There's more than just that. After having recently played CT on my PS1, I've noticed a LOT of sound problems playing it on zsnes. For example, the sound effects of weapons, when a boss dies, going into a time portal, among others. But, yeah, fix the sound. Thanks.

EDIT: Though more than anything, I'd probably want better SPC accuracy. Make the SPC core really accurate, and I'd be a very happy guy. :)

TRAC is working on the sound issues. I don't know many details.

I feel sort of awkward saying what I "want" in some free program that already happens to be awesome as it is, but since a developer asked, here goes.

I voted "other", but I guess I'm mostly for "more games fixed". Although pretty much all the games that I want to play, work. What I would mostly love to see is all those little glitches disappear that still exist in some games. And, as mentioned before, the whole SPC timing thing (mario's spinning jump, etc), which is really the only major detractor left. So, better accuracy overall, both in working and non-working games.

Figures, of course, that this happens to be the most difficult thing. :p

As for everything else, Zsnes has all that I could ever wish for.

Even though I voted for fixes.. it would be interesting to see an OpenGL mode for ZSNES. Linux probably already uses OpenGL for ZSNES... so this may be something to be considered. This would be useless for DOS, but then again.. I don't see much else featurewise being added for the DOS port..

Then again... shouldn't the DOS port include that 8-point interpolation feature and high quality bass filter that the Windows (and Linux?) port use?

I won't accept current GL code to be used in the windows port. Even my loose ethics can't tolerate such an awful implementation to be spread more than it is already.

The OpenGL code for the SDL port makes Baby Jesus cry, for those who don't look at the sources at all.

lol, I didn't think that would be the case... oh well..

One other idea would be to add the HQ modes to DOS...

I doubt the DOS port would be able to support the HQ filters. Maybe HQ2X at the most but as it stands the DOS port isn't going to receive much attention anymore. Yes it will still be compiled but no new features will be added.

I'm definitely going with games fixed, Zsnes already rocks in the features department.

You ain't seen nothing yet ;)

But I think we should have pagefault fixing emulation bugs. Leave insane features to those that can't.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything blackmyst said.

Since all the major crashing bugs from long ago have been resolved and the games I like to play can be enjoyed without bugs that actually alter the gameplay, my preference would be for improving performance of the already-supported games. The sound, while great already, would probably be my first choice for things to be fixed/improved, as others have mentioned. And the only graphical error that I can remember is the hand-cursor being overlapped in FF3 battles (I think that particular thing may be related to incorrect sprite/layer priority, such as the one scene where Locke and Edgar laugh their heads off—literally!).

Hm, I wonder if I could find a toaster case big enough to fit a mini-ITX system in...
