Hello everybody, today I encountered a HUGE problem w/ the ZSNES on my computer. My friend installed it a week ago, and since then, I haven't had a problem. I've mainly been playing copies of games that I have but don't get to play because of a buggy SNES! ^^;;;
Anyways, today a huge problem came across to me. I had a file for ToP in which I was playing. I come back a little bit later to sit down and get a good gaming time in but...my ZSNES icon would NOT LOAD THE PROGRAM WHATSOEVER. The screen would normally go black, and it did, but after that it would exit the program automatically. So I had to unzip the original file again. But it would load up differently and I could not load any games in which I had downloaded into the program anymore. ZSNES showed that there were no files to be played. After that, I decided to unzip the original Tales of Phantasia file and got to play it in ZSNES. But ALL OF MY SAVE FILES WERE DELETED. The same goes for all of the other games in which I had files for. And ZSNES is still not running appropriately. I haven't an idea what's wrong w/ it! Does anybody have any ideas at all? And if so, is there anyway to recover lost save data? Thanks for any help given!
Huge help requested!

Did you either 1) delete the original ZSNES folder or 2) unzip ZSNES to a different folder the second time around? That would explain the missing games and then, when you put the games in that folder, the lack of save files.TequilaRTF wrote:So I had to unzip the original file again. If you deleted the original folder , you're SOL and just have to start over again. If the second install is in a different folder, and you still have the original, you should be able to copy all of your game files, *.srm files, *.zs? files (if you used save states) and whatever translation patches to the new folder, and you ought to be good to go.
