"SPC700 Stall Detected" Message played

When I try to run Star Fox 2 Beta with the ZSnes, it displays "SPC700 Stall Detected" and shows a black screen and won't play the rom (Yes it is a .smc file).

It is a beta version so maybe that is why its unable to play it? Or maybe its just a messed up rom. o_O Im not too sure. Any help here?

There's a number of Star Fox 2 ROMs floating on the Internet. The best one you can get is Star Fox (j) [b1] (or something like that.) Anyhoo, try fixing your ROM using NSRT's fix command. Also check to see if your ROM file size is ~1MB. If the ROM file isn't ~1MB and/or if you can't fix it using NSRT, then you'll have to download it from a different source.
Just a note: Don't ask where to download it, those requests aren't allowed. The only thing I can say is Search Google for it.

That is the old beta. Get the newer beta.

Fixed the problem. I downloaded the newest version of Zsnes and got a two totally different starfox 2 beta roms (The old beta, and the new) and they both work.

Im guessing its not possible to get past the frozen screen in Mission mode...
