GUI button that has same function as right click

Post by jarvis307 »

Hi,

Long time user, first time poster. Would it be possible to implement a GUI key that does the same thing as right clicking the mouse button when "Click Enters GUI" is enabled.

The reason I seek this feature is so I can program a button on my controller to open the GUI and use the controller to move around the menus.

In prior releases (1.31 and below), I would program the "Load" quick key to a button on my controller so that it would open the GUI when I pressed that button. I would then hit 'B' (cancel). This causes the load screen to close and the load menu to open. In more recent releases, canceling the load screen would bring me back to the GUI, but with all the menus closed. The controller is unable to open a menu at this point, and I must use the mouse to reopen a menu.

I think many users can benefit from this feature because they would have access to all the menus using only the controller at any point in a game. They would have access to load, pick, and save state with a click of one button while using the controller to navigate the respective menus.

Thank you for your time,

Jerv

If this can't be implemented could the "click enters gui" feature at least be fixed? If I hit esc the gui pops up every time but if I click my mouse it sometimes takes 5+ clicks before ZSNES registers the command. It's as if the mouse is not buffered and button presses aren't captured on certain frames.

BTW if possible it would be very very nice to have ALL ZSNES commands possibly mapped to buttons/keys.
