importing games
I don't know if this has already bee asked but I didn't see anything on this on the 5 pages i looked through. I hae downloaded ZSNES and I then had to download games. What I want to know is how to import the games to the ZSNES, so that I can play them. I tried to figure it out on my own but just couldn't do it. Thanks for any help you can provide.

That is not what I asked. I know how to load a game when a game is present. I just don't have a game present to load. I downloaded the ZSNES (which did not come with games), so I then downloaded the games and don't know how to get them to show up on the load menu. Cause I used to have a ZSNES on my computer, which i got from a friend who already put games on it. But I got a new computer and had to download everything myself.
He probably wants to know how to find the games on his computer.
You know that window next to where the games are supposed to appear? With the
.
..
randomfolder
stuff? It's not just for show. In fact, ".." takes you out of the current folder (likea "back" button) and into the prvious folder. Double-clicking randomfolder will take you to that folder.
Let's say that you have your games in C:/ZSNES/games. and you have ZSNES is C:/ZSNES. ZSNES will start out in C:/ZSNES, so you have to double click Games in the load window and you'll fidn the games.
I hope you understand my confusing explanation.

I'm guessing that he doesn't know how to get games to appear in the load game menu?
Well what you see on the right are your folders and drives. Doubleclick any folder to go in it, doubleclick the two dots to go up one folder. Or you can use the keyboard arrows and enter button instead of the mouse, whichever. If you know what folder your games are in, just go there, and they'll appear in the box to the left.
(edit, whoops, got beaten to it).

I think it's like a refresh button.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

The '.' directory is the current directory, thus useless with Change Directory commands.
But extremely useful for other matters. Example, if I type:
Then I will run /usr/games/bin/zsnes, because /usr/games/bin/ is in my PATH and whatever's in PATH is prioritary on anything else.
If I type:
Then I will run /home/grin/zsnes/src/zsnes, because that's what I just asked.
Hope this helped.

Code: Select all
~/zsnes/src$ zsnes

Hope this helped.

<jmr> bsnes has the most accurate wiki page but it takes forever to load (or something)

It's better to use one directory for each ZSNES version, and one directory for all the ROMs.
