Dragon Quest V BUG??

I've been playing DQV with the translation patch from Dejap.
The first time I played it, I choose Bianca as my wife. Everything was normal.
The second time I played it, I chose Flora as my wife. However, she only goes up to level 10. After level 10, she doesn't gain anymore experience points, no matter what. I even tried it with the non-translated version. Its the same thing. Bianca is fine, but Flora can't go up past level 10. Anybody else had that problem?

Perhaps she doesn't go higher than that. As I recall, she wasn't exactly the fighting type.

My real life girlfriend is only at level 17 :/

actually she does. I finished the game with her. Apparently she doesnt level up past level 10 until after she is revived from her statue status. After that she can go till 99.
