Black window. O.o

Post by Dko »

Hey could someone please help me with this small problem? I recently reinstalled XP (sp2 if it matters) and now when ever I start up Zsnes (Latest verson) it comes up as a black window and won't let me do anything. (Though it doesn't show it as not responding.) I tried re dling to see if that was the problem and making shure the latest version of Direct x was installed. But no dice with either. >.< Thanks in advance for any help given. Ive never had any trouble with Zsnes untill now so this is stumping me.

Delete your .cfg files, the ones for Zsnes, obviously.

Try pressing Alt+Enter. That should put ZSNES in fullscreen mode, and then you can adjust your video settings to something that works better.

I suspect that if you updated your video card drivers, you wouldn't have this problem anymore. Go to your video card manufacturer's website and look around for an update.

I've had that problem before on Win98SE. It would just randomly do it when first loading up ZSNES. Deleting zsnes files, updating DX and video drivers, fullscreen mode, etc, nothing would fix it when it felt like doing it. Now I'm on Win2k SP4, and it does it occasionally (randomly) while playing a game in netplay (1.36). I also noticed a random whitish screen a few times while playing Super Mario RPG in 1.42. Only way I've found to fix them is to alt-tab out of full screen, or press/depress the ESC key.
