New feature for ZSNES: Auto on-the-fly translation FROM any language TO any language. Perfect!

Let's randomly speculate on how much processing power it would take to have Zsnes' AI translate and interpret the language and plot perfectly from and to any language, hack the game font flawlessly and make it look good, find and change any sprites with text on them and bugfix everything....at startup.

Heh... Processing power doesn't mean more intelligent, unfortunately. I think we will need far more artificially intelligent "programs" to be written before we can utilize processing power in the pursuit of this feature.blackmyst wrote:Let's randomly speculate on how much processing power it would take to have Zsnes' AI translate and interpret the language and plot perfectly from and to any language, hack the game font flawlessly and make it look good, find and change any sprites with text on them and bugfix everything....at startup.

Well gee, while you're at it, why don't you time travel and get the AI technology. We all know that in sci-fi anime, they have perfect AI technology. Well, that and Dragon Ball Z/GT. But hey, I want to see this feature too! XD

Yeah but it has a lot of influence on the amount of time it would take to do such a thing. We wouldn't want to wait more than a few seconds for it to happen when loading up a game, now would we. :pbitcopy wrote:Heh... Processing power doesn't mean more intelligent, unfortunately. It's impossible. Every game stores them differently.blackmyst wrote:Let's randomly speculate on how much processing power it would take to have Zsnes' AI translate and interpret the language and plot perfectly from and to any language, hack the game font flawlessly and make it look good, find and change any sprites with text on them and bugfix everything....at startup.
