Providing you meet all the requirements, you must extract the source code somwhere and go into the src directory. Then

./autogen.sh
make
./zsnes

First read the manual of the pkgtool

Code: Select all

man pkgtool
Then say: I'm not dumb, if I try to read the manuals and use Google.com for help...
Then go to Slackware Package Repository and download the zsnes package and put it into your packages directory...

Unfortunately I don't have Slackware (I have Gentoo here), so try to use Slackware community forums/newsgroups for more approriate and correct information...

first un-tar it using the command
tar xvfz [your file here] without brackets of course
then run the configure program like so ./configure
when it finishes run make
when it finishes run make install and zsnes will also be added as a command so will not need to be in the zsnes directory to run it! Here is a recap of what I said

1. tar xvfz [your file here] without brackets
2. ./configure
3. make
4. make install
5. zsnes

Then you will be playing your favorite snes games of all time :P

First of all, you do not have to tell us you are dumb twice, we figured it out before you even told us once.
Second of all, I recall someone on the old Zsnes forum (shortly before it got hacked) Asking a similiar question, and after Zsnes they put "(btw i am dumb)"
They got a huge laugh because without realising, they made it look like they were dumb for using Zsnes.
I then noticed about 10 times in the next week people trying to get credit for a joke they didn't make.
Now i see you do the same thing, sure it could of been a coincidence if you had only said "(btw i am dumb)" after typing "Zsnes" once, but twice?
no-sir-e-bob
I suggest instead of trying to steal other peoples jokes, you go and make your own!

xzib1t, the reason he kept saying (btw, I'm dumb) is because there is a word filter that makes it to where if you type in "Z.NES" (take out the period), it is filtered as "zsnes(btw, I'm dumb)

My advice for you, xzib1t, is to stop pointlessly spamming.
