getting sounds from zsnes

Post by maxwellsays »

according to OCRemix.org, it says you should get an emulator such as zsnes to get sounds from games.

the problem is, i don't know how to do that...

anyone care to help?

You can only get music, by pressing F1 during game and selecting 'Dump SPC Data'. This dumps the currenly playing song into an SPC file that you can then listen to by using a standalone SPC player or a Winamp plugin.

Oh, and read the documentation that came with Zsnes. it should cover the F1 menu.

You could also go to Zophar's Domain and get it from there.
Try out CCleaner and other free software at Piriform

You can use the Disk-Writer plug-in to turn them into .wav's, and ten you can turn them into ANYTHIN.g

The sound effects will be in the SPC file, too - but you'd need detailed knowledge to extract them. Maybe someone wrote a tool that does that, I don't know.

You can extract sounds from ROMs using SNESSOR.
