Feature request

Post by Kilo11 »

I was wondering, if there is a way, that you guys could come up with a way to sample the sound and music in a rom without actually playing the game? If you guys could come up with some way to do that it would be cool. Thanks

There's already SPC rips and players out there, for just listening to the music.

I dunno what you'd do about sound effects though.

For sound effects:
1. Download All2WAV Recorder, from http://www.download.com.
2. Read the docs that came with All2WAV Recorder, and open it.
3. Configure it to capture sounds from other applications.
4. Open ZSnes, then your ROM.
5. Disable the sound channels until you get the effects you desire.
6. Let the Recorder record them, when done, don't forget to save your work, then have fun.
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?
NSRT here.

Nevermind, I found the best way to listen to SNES, NES, Genesis, and Game Boy music all with one program, its called Meridian Advanced. You can get it here: http://meridian.overclocked.org/oldadvanceweb/
It has a self install and auto-runs the .spc, .gym, .nsf, and .gbs files.

And, to get all the soundtracks from any game, go here: http://www.zophar.net/music.html

Simply click which section you want, then find the game, download it, then unzip it where you want. Best of all, the music sounds exactly like in-game stuff, no midi crap.

EDIT: BTW, there are also skins that you can download for your player, my 2 favs are the Megaman and Chrono Trigger ones on this page: http://meridian.overclocked.org/oldadva ... php?page=1
If you download one, move the file straight into the skins folder, dont try to unzip it (.rar)

whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.
