Ok, just found a little bug that was not present in 4/4 WIP (I use the dos port): changing resolution through the gui is impossible (a window with the message "press spacebar to confirm resolution change" appears after the change, but pressing spacebar doesn't sort any effect, so the screen switches back to the previous resolution), the only way to do so is editing zsnes.cfg...
BTW, I must add that I deleted the old cfg files as suggested by Nach when the WIP came out.

Actually, this was in the DOS 04/04 WIP, but not before that. I mentioned it in the WIP thread.

I always start using a new version of ZSNES without old config files.

Yet another ZSnes blackscreen bug....

Post by adventure_of_link »

Specs:
Intel Celeron 2.7GHz, 400MHz FSB
256MB PC2100 DDR-SDRAM @ 133MHz
Windows XP Home Edition, SP2, all critical/high priority/service packs installed
40GB Harddrive
ZSnes v4/11/2k5 WIP
Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PV Gfx Controller, 64MB V-RAM
Issue:
I run ZSnes, ran a game, and used the "esc" key to pause emulation. I then lock my computer (Yes Windows XP Home DOES have a lock feature, I'm not kidding), and unlock it, then I got a nice black screen in the center of my desktop, where ZSnes normally is. I tried the normal drill (re: ALT+ESC, ALT+TAB, etc), nothing. I press Esc when in the ZSnes window, nothing, still black. However, closing and restarting ZSnes fixed it... o.O
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

starfox artifacts

Post by Akaroo »

Not sure if this is existing or not but starfox has major problems with the new WIP. The problems are all artifact based though, so no "speed" issues or crashing. Let me illustrate:

Newer versions of ZSNES are, on the whole and in the long run, better than older versions.
Games may have run better in older versions because of hacks or unintended side effects.
