And I also don't even know what to search the forums for in this case, any help would be appreciated.

When I start ZSNES (current version, and an old version I had before that *used* to work), I get this:

The dark grey border is my desktop background. I've tried making it into a larger window, but it resizes and just goes black. I have no clue where to even look or what to tell you.

If you need chipset info or anything else, please let me know and I'll be happy to post it.

Read the ZSNES FAQ. It'll give you a couple of solutions to this problem.
whicker: franpa is grammatically correct, and he still gets ripped on?
sweener2001: Grammatically correct this one time? sure. every other time? no. does that give him a right? not really.

I did find another topic on something similiar. I had to use alt+enter to put it into full screen mode, then I could change the things around to get it set up.

Agozer meant updating the video drivers. But switching to a fullscreen mode avoids many problems, too.

My video drivers are the most up to date I can find, and I have the most recent version of DirectX installed as well. So ::shrugs:: who knows. Its working now. :-)

IIRC, it's something involved with certain SiS graphic cards, I have an old Amdk6 with a SiS Card and the same happened, the drivers are up to day too.
