Developing ZSNES For PowerPC...

Post by ATiRAGEPRO »

Since the other Thread got slammed for some odd reason, :? I've decided to take up the Mac Version Project myself. This shouldn't be vary hard. PowerPC Programming is alot esier than that of x86. It would be even less hard for me, since I'm a Pro at this kind of thing. :)

What i'm doing is attempting to make it capable of using the same plugins as that of Windows, But still trying to keep the system requirements as low as possible. (That means making it compatible with Mac OS 8.6 or lower. ;)

I don't like x86 arcitexture at all, so i won't even bother trying to make a version for OS X!

Please submit codes for mac if you have them. Suggestions would be vary helpful.... 8)

It would be much, much more helpful for you to help port the current ASM-coded parts of ZSNES to C/C++. Then porting it to MacOS/PowerPC will be (comparatively) trivial.

I'll try that. Most of the trouble i was having was trying to convert basic C++ (Easier code) to Standard Assembly code (Twice as complicated)

After i get past that part, Everything else should be a breaze...

I'll try to make it as authentic as possible. 8)

ZSNES will never be for the Power PC.
You either use Snes9x, and x86 emulator, or make your own.

If you want you can help port ZSNES to C.
