Chrono Trigger ending need help please.

Hi, I played through Chrono Trigger using the latest ZSNES Emulator version and I beat and got to the end where it says "the end". My question is what key do I need to press to start a new game (new game +)? It goes in an endless loop (the song) do I need to set my keys up differently? Thanks

EDIT: Do you need to beat the black omen to be able to get new game +? Answer real fast and I'll delete this post (not unless you are suppose to be able to go to the main menu even without doing that above, then I got a problem).

IIRC, you need to destroy the black omen in order for the new game + to appear.
