Controller not working with zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator)... Please help.

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

Controller not working with zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to learn the name of the emulator)... Please help.

Hey guys, I'm having some controller help and it's driving me insain!

I have a Microsoft SideWinder Plug & Play Game Pad. I've used it in the past with ZSNES. I reformatted my computer and put the games back on the harddrive but when I try to configure the controller buttons in ZSNES it doesn't recognize my controller.

In the past, I don't remember doing anything special to use the controller, just plug and play.

I hope someone can help me, I've tried everything...

Thanks in advance! :)

I'm using Windows Xp and using the same pad and I have no problems setting it on zsnes. Are you using Xp?

I'll be you need to install some kind of software for the gamepad to work, I remember that I needed drivers to install it on Win 98.

Well, it's supposed to be plug & play. Any idea where I can find out what drivers I need and where to get the drivers?

Does your controller even appear in the game Controllers (or whatever it's called in WinME) window?

Well, if there are any drivers, you'd most likely find them at Microsoft's site, wouldn't you agree?

I wasn't saying Windows ME and XP were the same OS. I was saying ME is the same OS I have always used with the controller and ZSNES.

Did you setup the controller in input in ZSNES first?
